"Run For The Hills"

I ordered 4 mirrors and 4 glass shelves from Mirrors & Glass UK. There was a delivery date required. I called Mirrors & Glass and he assured me they could deliver these items by the date required. Two days before the date I called them again and he assured me that they would be delivered. On the delivery date I called to see where they were and he then informed me that they could not get the shelves. He was at that point unable to confirm a delivery date. He then agreed to refund me my money. If that wasn't bad enough, I then had to source replacements with little time. Two weeks after the job had finished and I had replaced the mirror order, via another supply company, they sent me the order via TNT. I refused the delivery and called them do ask for my refund. He said that he would refund me. No refund came through, so I raised a complaint through PayPal. For some unknown reason Paypal would not find in My favour! I called him and he said basically because nobody will make them refund then they wont do so and have kept the money, which is over £230 I am gobsmacked. Im not trying to get something for nothing or a future discount! I called them today and asked if that was acceptable, they say yes. My general opinion is one of amazement. They say they are a reputable company. When I spoke to the MD, he said that the small print online does not give permission for his staff to side line the delivery dates!!!! So he admitted they offered me the service, but the small print protects him from following through. Not the actions of a reputable company. Like I say "Run For The Hills"

The gentleman ordered 4 Mirrors requiring holes to a drawing not just a case of standard 4-holes in the corners. On the same order the gentleman also ordered 4 toughened glass shelves with a corner cut out on each piece again a drawing followed for us to process. He then put on the customer notes section of the order, "please can I have these items as soon as possible", there was no mention of a strict timescale. If he had told us a date when he needed them we would have contacted him straight away and refunded the gentleman. I am not quite sure when he rang the sales team to say when he needed them, perhaps 2-3 days after the mirrors and glass shelves were cut and awaiting processing. When we could not meet the deadline he said he wanted a full refund, which we refused because the items had been cut.

After 2-3 weeks PayPal let us know about a chargeback and thankfully they looked into the matter and their decision was that we were not at fault. The gentleman then contacted the sales team after losing the appeal with PayPal with threats of giving us bad reviews if we did not refund him.
